What is All Star Cheerleading?

All Star Cheer is a discipline of cheer that involves athletes performing a 2 1/2 minute routine composed of tumbling, stunting, pyramids, dance, and cheer segments.

All Star Cheer differs from traditional school cheerleading in that its primary purpose is competition. All Star cheer teams are open to all area athletes. At competitions, the teams are divided by age and ability level. The routines are judged by their level of difficulty, precision, creativity, and entertainment value.

Teams are formed based on tiers for every ability level, from beginner to elite. All Star rules are based on progressions of skills commonly performed in cheerleading and that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the competitor. Teams range from Tiny Novice Level 1 up to adults at Level 7.
